fantastic Video , very clear , i have one Question , i have ultimate plan with godaddy , they have limitation on file usage and I/O usage , disk space is unlimited. why is that my static websites ,which are not getting data , i built them up one time for affiliate purpose and still my "file usage is increasing" i know a bit about file usage that it is calculated by inode count /files and folders etc if i am not wrong. to manage that , i have deleted all my email accounts , tried to clean cpanel by deleting all extra themes which comes default with the wordpress installation , deleted the old log files which are gzipped , also deleted the backups etc,
But still i see that file usage increase day by day , i have around 7 light wordpress websites built one time with affiliate link and file usage was 40,000 one week ago. never touched websites again , and now its over 10,000 , i have shared hosting ,
I also want to ask , what is the safe way to empty tmp folder of cpanel.

I think I just wasted time watching your vid.. 🙁 When you removed old emails (duh… but some people just WANT to keep ALL emails), why not check the box that says "skip trash"? When you remove emails, CHECK and see if they're really gone. Often times, they're just marked as deleted, but they're not purged. Check this! Other than that, Make sure your trash folder and junk folder are empty.. they may have even more emails than your inbox! Other than that, check your log files. Sometimes servers keep gigabytes of old log files.. Remove them except the current one (with today's date). Check if you have any weird files that are hanging around in the root instead of somewhere inside the public_html folder. Download your images, and run them through a service like tinypng/tinyjpg and upload them again. Will save you a lot of space as well! There are other things you can do, but start with those.

OK well I watched this but couldn't give it a thumbs up as I'd cleaned up my emails and backs ups and deleted maybe 2GB of files BUT my cpanel disk use stayed the same it didn't free up any space after deleting all the themes, backups and emails…so I was wondering why this is? Is there a trash can somewhere that needs to be deleted or some defrag reclaim disk space wizzard some where????
