It is true, like Speedy in Indonesia, after using around 7 Gigabyte they will reduce the the speed of internet !

Great explanation on what bandwidth is and reality of "unlimited" bandwidth

Thanks Ernie. Every day there are thousands if not millions of people getting started with websites and web hosting for the first time. I think there is a great need to help new folks with the basics many of us take for granted so they can understand the terms and make decisions that are best for their organization. -Paul

Thanks for the comment Arne and reinforcing my point about support. I've got another video coming up about bandwidth and how "unlimited bandwidth" is a farce, which goes right to your point about how they disable your account when you use too many of your "unlimited" resources. -Paul

You are doing a great job Paul, making it easy to understand the in's and out of the web.

Great, easy to understand info. Thanks Paul!

I currently use Hostgator and Hostmonster. The prices are very cheap. But the service is, like you mentioned, outsourced. So when I chat / mail / call I sometimes get someone from India for the reply. But the most terrible thing is…. these companies just disable your accounts when, according to them, your site uses too much CPU… or they say the site is not Safe, getting too much spamming (not my fault is it?), etc.

So thanks for this video! Good luck with business!
